Miami Night Tours

What to Expect on a Miami Night Tour

Your evening starts at a dock, a kerb or a farm gate, 15 to 30 minutes before the time on your ticket. It may end with a cash tip, a ride-share or a drive north. Booking Miami Night tickets? Here is the evening in order, from check-in to the ride back, with what each listing asks of you on the night.

Check in 15 to 30 minutes early

The boats leave on time, and several operators share the same waterfront. Each listing sets its own check-in time, and they differ.

Miami Aqua Tours: Check in 30 minutes early. Head for the Ferris wheel opposite Hard Rock Cafe at Bayside, take the stairs down to the dock and line up at Landshark Bar & Grill.

Fiesta Cruises: Collect your boarding pass at the ticket booth at Pier 5, slips 11 and 12, behind Tasca Paella inside Bayside.

Aqua Party Boat: Arrive 15 to 20 minutes early at the Pier 3 gate at Venetian Marina, and walk straight to the gate, not to the marina store or office.

Big Bus: Be at Stop #1 at Bayside 15 minutes before 8pm. Seats are first come, first served, and the stop on your ticket is the one to trust.

The Redland ATV park: Park inside the gate by the American flag, and a shuttle takes you to the ATVs. The listing charges a late fee after 20 minutes.

At Bayside, several operators board from one waterfront. Check the operator's name on the boat before you step aboard.

Paid on the night: captain fees, tips and gate balances

This table puts the evening in one place: when to arrive, what you still pay, what you drink, who may come and where the restroom is. "Not stated" means the listing does not say.

Bring your own or buy on board

The private boats are bring your own. The shared cruises run a bar, or pour the drinks the fare includes. Know which before you set out.

ID, 21-and-over and dress codes

Wind on the top deck, water in the kayak

On the water and on the open-top bus, it is breezy once you are moving, even on a warm night. Bring a light layer for the top deck.

The open-top bus: The Big Bus night tour's upper deck is open to the sky. Travellers say it is windy up there.

The kayak: Expect to get wet. Wear clothes that can take it and bring a change for the ride back.

The ATV trails: The trails are muddy. Wear clothes you do not mind ruining, and use the helmet and goggles the fare includes.

Rain, summer storms and cancellations

Getting back after dark

From Bayside: The mall's paid garage is on site. Downtown hotels are a short ride-share away, and the van tour drops you back at your hotel.

From Venetian Marina: There is no parking on site. The sunset boat's listing names a free Miami Beach water taxi, Monday to Friday, that stops at the marina. Check its last run before you rely on it.

From the club night: No transport is included. Clubs are about a 15-minute ride-share from most hotels, and you make your own way between the venues.

From the ATV farms: You drive, or book a ride-share both ways. Plan the return before you set out, because the farms are on the far south-west edge of the city.

Every start point, with the way in, is on the meeting points map.

Questions about the night itself

How early should I arrive?
Thirty minutes before for the Miami Aqua Tours cruises at Bayside, 15 to 20 minutes for the Venetian Marina boats and 15 minutes for the Big Bus. The boats leave on time, and a late arrival can miss the sailing.
Which boat is mine at Bayside?
Several operators board from one dock area inside Bayside Marketplace, so check the operator's name on your ticket before you step aboard. Miami Aqua Tours lines up at Landshark Bar & Grill by the Ferris wheel; Fiesta Cruises boards from its booth at Pier 5.
Do I need cash?
For two things. The Redland ATV park takes a $100 deposit per ATV in cash, and Aqua Party Boat's sunset and karaoke cruises ask a $10 cash tip a person for the crew.
What should I wear?
Layers for the open top deck and the boats, where it is breezy once you are moving. Clothes that can get wet for the kayak, and ones you do not mind getting muddy for the ATV trails. Mango's asks for no hats, sleeveless shirts or swimwear.
What ID do I need for the club night?
A passport or government photo ID showing you are 21 or over. The club can refuse entry, and there is no refund if it does.
Do I tip the captain on a private boat?
Tips are not in the fare. Travellers on the private boat say to budget for a tip on top of the $70 captain fee.

Where these facts come from

Check-in times, fees, drinks, ages and dress codes come from each tour's own listing, captured on 27 September 2026. The storm season is the National Hurricane Center's. Operator rules on alcohol and ages are the operators' own, checked 28 September 2026.
